Wednesday, the 20th of May 2009 Detektivbyrån will give the most amazing, longest and best gig ever. We are preparing for this special night through all of May and the gig will also be filmed and later released as a live DVD. This will be this spring's highlight in the land of Detektivbyrån! We have so many plans for the two shows and we want to tell you all about it:

Not an ordinary gig - new live show

This won't be an ordinary Detektivbyrån gig, we are going to direct a brand new  live show with lights, stage design, new songs, new instruments and new arrangements. We are bringing our own light designer and sound technicians. We are going to build up a atmosphere with our set list and with songs that are working together with different light arrangements. To Stockholm we're also bringing our new stage design. This is going to be more of a show tha an ordinary concert, we actually drew a line over "Set list" the other day and added "Script" instead.

The best conditions for the music and the audience

We have during the past years become more and more careful when it comes to when and where we play, we want to give us, the music and the spectators the best conditions possible. That's why we're extremly glad to be playing at Debaser Medis that has as good conditions as we want and they have also given us the oppurtunity to let people under 18 in . together with at least one parent. We asked Debaser if we could do this and we are very happy that Debaser helpt us to fulfill this wish.

During our latest visit at Debaser Slussen we were welcomed by the most wonderful audience we've ever had. Now we and our audience are going to make these shows even better! We also have tried to keep the the ticket price down, so the tickets will cost 120 SEK + pre sale.

We will film and produce a live DVD on this gig!

Ww have hired a camera crew with five cameras, we are recording the sound on our own. We are directing the camera team and we will edit and cut the live DVD by our selves. So, we think it will be a special memory for those who comes to the gig. The DVD will be free to download on the internet when it's done.

This feels especially good to do since we have met alot of international friends, most from for example, Mexico, Japan and USA. Therefor it feels great to make this live DVD so we can give the oppurtunity to watch a nicely filmed and well played gig of Detektivbyrån.

Esthetically speaking when if comes to the light settings, the sound and the camera angles we want to work with in this show is very inspired of the live DVD "Bruce Springsteen - live in new york". The basics there are alot of white light and a huge crowd! We will do our utmost to make our DVD as great as that one! We have started co-operating with a light technician from the thetre Göta Lejon, Stockholm and he's going to help us with the design of the lights just to make this show work together with the cameras and the audience.

New songs

The crowd at Debaser will be the first ones to hear some of our new, unreleased songs and they will also hear new arrangements on old songs.

New instruments

Martin made his big debut at the P3GULD awards with the instrument Theremin that created a major hausse. At Debaser the Theremin will appear for the first time ever at an ordinary show. We will also use some instruments that we haven't used in a while and also an surprise instrument! That means: alot of instruments.

New vinyl records

We will release two new vinyl records that night, "Wermland" and "E18 Album" that is.

New outfit on stage

We have started using our self-designed stage clothes. They are not totally new, they were first shown at the Swedish grammy awards. The clothes are designed and sewed by Martin.

Here's some info of what we're up to in the future:

We've started our own distribution!

Instead of looking at bad and difficult deals regarding distribution abroad we have started doing it on our own and started a mail order that ships worldwide. You can find everything about this on our website and the distribution is runned by ourselves.  This seemes to be something that our listeners likes, to have their orders shipped directly from us - without the classic middleman like a record company, record store or distributor. We give our buyers the chance to have the records signed and/or dedicated to someone or her/himself, something that the record companies hardly can offer.

On our orders, it shows that this is appreciated by our international listeners, during the last months we have gotten orders from Austria, Russia, Germany, USA, Australia, United Kingdom, Finland, Danmark, Canada, Greece, Sweden, France and Holland. Other fun things that will be in our shop in the future is a book with sheet music on our songs, the live DVD from Deabser Medis, and also music boxes playing our music and more, alot more. We are buying a house and moving together on the countryside!

We have got a loan from the bank and are currently looking for a house. In our house we will build a studio and make new music! This fells very good, we will have peace and the daily trip to the post office and the super market feels perfect. Read more about this on our website!
